Average US Rate on 30-Year Mortgage Rises to 3.73 Percent
Average long-term U.S. mortgage rates rose for the third
consecutive week. Freddie Mac said on March 17 that the average rate on a
30-year fixed-rate mortgage rose to 3.73 percent from 3.68 percent the prior
week. Meanwhile, the average rate on 15-year fixed-rate mortgages increased
from 2.96 percent to 2.99 percent over the same period.
